Everyone has different tastes. Go out and discover stuff on your own and find out what you like first instead of trying to see what other people like.

OP lives in Georgia. Nothing wrong in his asking.

In no particular order:

Windsor Terrace
Prospect Heights
Greenpoint
Boerum Hill
Fort Green

You can Wiki them for a description if interested.

Brooklyn Heights
Prospect Heights
Windsor Terrace

Unfortunately, it is really expensive to live in these neighborhoods.

In no order:

Clinton Hill
Greenpoint
Ditmas Park
Kensington
Prospect Heights

Take with a grain of salt--my knowledge of Brooklyn is far from exhaustive.

I was up late/couldn't sleep last night and ended up seeing this movie on TV, Brooklyn Boheme. It's about the black creative scene in Ft Green/Clinton Hill in the 80s and 90s. It gives a good sense of what it was like and is like today (they go into how it's changed) Brooklyn Boheme - A feature documentary by Diane Paragas and Nelson George The documentary certainly shows what I like so much about that neighborhood.

Bay Ridge
Sheepshead Bay
Mill Basin
Prospect Heights
Brooklyn Heights

The last 2 were added as when I need a change of scenery as they are starkly different than the first 3 I listed. I'm a South Brooklyn girl at heart, so take that for what it's worth.

Also you didn't ask 5 favorite neighborhoods for what. If you were looking for specific criteria, then people's answers might change drastically.
