obviously by now you have heard that el greco has been torn down as of last week and the owners sold it for about $11 million from what i remember. i used to live on east 24th street and voorhies avenue. glad i moved. 9 blocks away from the train. awful, either in the winter or summer and that was when i was in my 20s. i can't imagine being there now. best thing about sheepshead bay is stop and shop. great prices. outside of that, the shopping is far more sparse compared to kings hwy. (midwood) and brighton beach.

They do for sure. It's the closest thing to a diner on that whole strip now and is a recognizable brand name to boot. I remember when there were two diners-El Greco and Sheepshead bay diner at the end. Good times. Now that site is condos as well. The building boom in this area is huge.

Well in recent times El Greco is going to be the site of a large apartment tower thats in progress now. Also the waldbaums closed, as did the 7-11 on Sheepshead Bay road. Was replaced by a gourmet foods store.
