Please forgive the question, as I'm totally ignorant to apartments / room share, etc. I've always lived in a house and have owned since I was 22.
I live near Hartford with my family (wife and two kids under 10). I've just accepted a job in Queens, Glendale to be specific.
We want to let the kids finish school here, so I need somewhere to stay until June, when we plan to move to LI. I'll probably work 3-4 days a week in the city and then come home for a long weekend each week.
I'm looking for, in order of importance:
$800ish / month
Cleanliness
Room to park
Safety
Commute under 20 minutes (would commute 30+ from the LI side)
Quiet
Notice I don't have size on there. I would like my own bathroom and a closet / bed. Otherwise, I don't plan on being there a lot.
