I really hope this thread doesn't get moved because I tend to only comment on threads from our city but I can't even begin to tell you how my heart aches for these people for these children and for those who lost their lives... For those who have children, hug your kids extra hard today and please exercise caution at all times with them... I know situations like this there is no way to prepare for but anything we can do as parents or as adults to protect our young ones we must try to do so... My prayers go out to all the families of the children and other people who lost their lives today...

Like everyone else I'm totally stunned by this shooting. Prayers to the families who lost people and to the kids who survived it. They need all the love, compasiion, and help that they can get. I can't imagine being in grade school and seeing my friends murdered in the classroom.
I saw the President talking on it for a few minutes on TV and I've never seen him so shaken and upset. He looked like he was going to cry and had to stop himself a few times for a few seconds to regain his composure. All politics aside, it was obvious he felt the way we all do.

Some of you clearly haven't gotten the message from the mod, twice already. If you ask me, if you're already debating politics, you're a scumbag. Particularly in your first post in the thread.
Couldn't have said it any better myself... And i'll be responding to that person right after I thank you for pointing it out... I still continue to be amazed by the lack of compassion of some posters...
Fascinating - NYPost says shooter was autistic, according to his brother.
Autistic people are not violent unless backed into a corner , or a sensory overload occurs , load noises are a sensory issue for us....so I doubt he had autism. He probably had a personality disorder which tends to make people violent....and paranoid....
