Much as I've come to hate Michael Bloomberg overall, I've been delighted at his speaking out about guns, and enjoy the very appropriate combination of his dry speaking style with flashes of sarcasm.

If you didn't see his appearance on Charlie Rose:

Charlie Rose - Mayor Michael Bloomberg

This tends to add to my general disdain for him.

Mikey is a guy who has bodyguards who carry guns to protect him. I don't really take this dude seriously.

Mike Bloomberg is a horse's arse.

The man gets an armed escort on his way to take a dump, but denies 'the little people' the Right to defend themselves with firearms.

He's such a phony that if he caught fire he wouldn't burn, he'd melt.

Bloomberg: "Ha! You peasants! Did you really think I would allow you to own guns or sharp objects in MY city?!? You're lucky I still allow plastic sporks in our schools! How dare you think that I would put myself in danger by not allowing my entourage to own rifles with high capacity clips! This is a very dangerous world don't you know? Anyway, I'm on my way to banning 32 OZ sodas in Brooklyn and then heading to Staten Island where I, and my Liberal cronies, can tell everyone else how to live."

To be fair, plastic sporks can be quite dangerous! In fact, I would personally be all for a nationwide ban on all utensils. It seems to be the only solution.

I have frequently been disqppointed in the level of apathy I see in my fellow citizens. Obama signed an order which, basically, suspended Habeus Corpus and said NOT only terrorists, but AMERICANS can be detained without charge indefinitely! (see NDAA).

And theres no outrage...NONE.

Its unbefriggenlievable!

It is imperative in a Democracy to put pressure on government to keep them in check. But sadly we don't do that.
