how could we possiblly reccommend a neighborhood for you to live in?

we dont know you, we dont know what you like, what you dislike, what you need, dont need...etc

^^That's what I'm screamin. I'm a also single and in my 20s and it seems like my idea of a good neighborhood is very different from others'.

If you want hipsters, skip TriBeCa, as you are more likely to encounter a couple with children, than a true hipster scene. In Manhattan, I'd agree with the East Village, NoLIta, The Bowery, or Union Square. SoHo has more tourists and is more upscale, with few, if any, hipsters.

of course, I am old enough to be your father, and have kids older than you. my idea of a good neighborhood to live in, is going to be a lot different from the perspective of a 20 year old.

Meatpacking District, Manhattan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Meatpacking is ok. I've always found it to be more of a bridge and tunnel scene in the clubs over there personally.

Meatpacking is far West 14th give or take a couple blocks.
