I have a lawsuit against NYPD, stemming from a incident last year.

I was treated less them human, wrongfully arrested/assaulted by a whale.....I mean a police officer. According to the judge at central bookings," there's no basis to these allegations, I'm dismissing all your charges". Allegations that the "officer" made against me.

Anyway everything happened so quick(the incident and arrest), I was never able to get the officers name. Only his partner. For DAYS after the incident, I tried to get the name of the officer. No one in the precint would give it to me. They wouldnt even give me a copy of the BS police report.

I hired a lawyer. Went through the process. Filed a lawsuit against NYPD and the "unknown" officer()

Today, I get a call from a Sargent from the arresting precinct.

"Hi, Ms. ____________. I heard about the incident and problem you're having. Well me and Officer _________ would like to have a mediation with you, to come to an understanding"

Wait hold up!

The same officer who's name I couldn't get, NOW wants to talk to me?
Now you want to understand me?
Now you want to mediate?

I'm sorry, did you get a whiff of my lawsuit?

What do we need to discuss? Its a know fact that NYPD never admits to any wrongdoing. So all that's going to happen, is breath will be wasted. No "understanding" will make me drop the lawsuit

Long story short.

I went from sitting in a chair, with headphones on blasting my music

To being picked up, slammed down, with a 300pd officer having both his knees in my back. And being accused of resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.

I didn't know you could commit those crimes from a chair.

Potentially quite true, but I think we should hear the WHOLE story ...
Yeah, devil's advocate again.

Well, this will beg more questions than it will engender genuine support.

Three sides to every story--your's, mine, and the truth seems to apply here.
