My status has not changed. You still have a long wait after being certified.

Hello I'm new here also and need this forum for daily support after my prayers. I'm a vdv n1 priority and I applied In March 2014 and got an interview in April 2014. When I call I'm told they're doing a landlord check! I live in a homeless shelter with my two children so what are they looking for? When I check online it says "eligibilty review" case is in process. Does anyone know how long before I become certified and I chose the Bronx as my borough choice and qualify for a two bed room. I'm desperate to move my family out if the shelter HELP!!!!!
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the LORD shall be saved,"

Hey I'm also n1 I've been waitin 3 month So far they say high prority have a wait between 3-11 months. An every case is different they claim the computer picks us , so we're just here waitin to be called. If u have no problem with old landlords the review will go find an you will br certified to wait some more . Lol I'm certified since 3-16 So I'm just waitin

Hi @ renegotitright
Just a lil update, u called my old landlord and he said he didn't hear from nycha. I just became certified on May 6th. I did my interview on April 7 2014 so it was exactly 29 days that it took for me to get certified. Nycha central office actually called me to see if I still live int the shelter and I told her " yes I'm still here". She called my housing specialist and told him that I'm certified and that I'm on the borough wide waiting list for Bron and Manhattan. I'm still praying for everyone that everything works out in GODs time. So I am waiting. Age horizon told me it takes 30 days to become certified and 3-6 months to get a place so far they are right about the certification . How ling did anyone else wait to get a place with vdv n1 homeless priority??
