This is not a job really, but I always wanted be a star player at Rucker (before it became commercialized). I always wanted the cool nickname and a crazy handle to make somebody fall or hops to bang on somebody and the park go crazy or BOTH. It is nothing like hood love, especially when you don't have to join a gang to get it, but I am somewhat working my dream job as a Juvenile Parole Officer. I would say I am officially living my dream job when I move back and work as a PO in the New York area. That is when I will say I officially made.
Well my dream job was to always be in the science world but dealing with artifacts. I use to watch these archeaology shows all the time on PBS when I was a kid. Little did I know I would be getting my Masters in Anthropology and hopefully continuing to get my PhD. I grew up in the South Bronx but I was lucky to get such great support from the teachers and my parents. I went to college upstate NY and after I graduated I did some archaeology work around the Northeast. It was awesome and difficult but I am so glad through all the tough times getting here I have come very close to make my dream come true. Eventually when I get my Master's in NM I will return to NYC to get my PhD, so I'm anxious for that because there is no other place like it.
Anyway, I think age should not stop you fulfilling any dream. How can you live life with, I wish I... I learned you will never be fully happy until you accomplish those dreams--fear should never be a deterrent.
