Question About The Barclay Center and the Nets

I haven’t heard much news in the papers recently about the Barclay Center Arena in Brooklyn.
I wanted to know

1) Is this a done deal?
2) Is the arena set to be built?
-Are there any obstacles?
-When is construction to begin and end?
3) Is the Nets move there official and if not, what has to be completed?
4) What exactly is the public and local opinion?
-Are people happy, mixed, or angered by the proposal?
5) Is Brooklyn/Long Island solidly Nets territory or is pretty much Knicks territory?
-Do the Nets still have a fanbase on Long Island since they began play there?
6) How will this move effect the fanbase both short and long term?
-Do you think the Nets will instantly become a viable co-city team like the Mets or will they still be an afterthought like the Islanders?
