That's not true you have NY transplants but many of the transplants in LA are from the midwest and Southwest states.
We could say that NYC has a great deal of LA transplants since people like Tyra Banks, Eva Pigford,or Kim Kardashian are out here. But certain people are more transient than others in every city and travel back and forth from city to city.

If your not born in a municipality your not a native , hence your not from there .Case closed .you can live here for 6 or 600 years , your birth certificate was still issued by the Alabama Dept of health . Because your were FN born in Alabama . Or or wherever your from .Reality check America . Your from .where you were born , that is your point of origin . I was born in Detroit Michigan and moved to Bay Ride Brooklyn in my mid teens ,In the late 70s . When people ask me where I'm from . I still say Detroit. I can't claim Bay Ridge as my point of origin because it's not the truth .
