I confess...I broke New York City law today.

I got myself a 44 ounce regular coke...And I drank it!

Oh, I forgot...Here in Houston, TX, we're still free. Big Gulps are only illegal in New York City.

You people in New York City...such sheep.

You obviously have a real hate-on, don't you? To me, people in Texas are the sheep. In NYC, individuality is embraced. You Texans have a herd mentality... Nothing wrong with a restriction on sodas. Have a problem with it? Buy two. Or in your case, three and risk going into a diabetic coma while typing on City-Data.

As a lifelong New Yorker I should be offended...

but you are correct, sir.

Sheep. Sheep indeed.

Large cokes are illegal in NYC??? are you kidding? What kind of big goverment nannystate nonesense have yall allowed up there?? Whos business is it how badly you eat or drink? Whos business is it how fat you get? It should not be the state, city or federal goverments business as this is America and we have personal freedom. I know the northeast is more liberal but that is ridiculous. I feel sorry for freedom loving Americans living up there, sounds like the goverment there not only monitors your 2nd amendment gun rights, takes half you income and now is even policing what you eat and drink. Its your state, so maybe its not my business but someone up there should try and stop this kind of thing.

I bought a 44-ounce coke too! From a grocery store, where, in case you didn't know, you could still freely buy any type of soda you want. And I didn't drink all of it because I actually care about my appearance, and don't want to descend into obesity heaven by the time I'm 30.

Well I didnt drink that much coke, but I did drink a gallon of sweet tea today, pigged out at the golden coral buffet. Mashed taters, steak, fried chicken, fried fish, fried okra, fried hushpupies oh and they have that chocolate waterfall there, that was good too. Bread pudding, bannanna cream pie and ice cream. Yes I ate all that and I was stuffed, but at least the goverment was not keeping tabs on what I ate. The way you can tell a good restauraunt is if the customers inside are all bigger folks. That is always a good sign. What I cant figure out though is why my state is on the "fattest states" list every year lol.
