FWIW: There are two different songs with the same title, "New York, New York."
The most well-known one is the Frank Sinatra and/or Liza Minelli version, but the original song was featured in the 1949 movie, "On the Town." The lyrics go like this:
New York, New York!
A helluva town.
The Bronx is up and the Battery's down.
And people ride in a hole in the ground.
New York, New York!
It's a helluva town!
I remember a Beastie Boys track off of Paul's Boutique that used those lyrics. I didn't know it was an old song.
My house smells just like the zoo
It chock full of **** and puke
Cockroaches on the walls
Crabs crawlin' on my balls
Ohh, well I'm so clean cut
I just wanna **** some slug
I love livin' in the city (x2)
Spent my whole life in the city
[ From : IN THE CITY Lyrics - M.O.D ]
Where junk is king and the air smells ****ty
People pukin' everywhere
Bars of blood, scabs and hell
Bodies wasted in the street
People dyin' on the street
But the suburban scumbags, they don't care
Just get fat and die their hair
