@N.Y.,N.J.FOLIFE... I admit I exaggerated when I said it was a suburb, & the area has gotten worse. It's not Bayside but it definitely isn't a bad neighborhood. @FLUSHINGKID... My wife use to go to school wit homie, I'm sorry for your loss, I know the feeling. I lost my dude in Queensbrige on Vernon side
anything in east ny brooklyn is the worse, kingsborough is annoying, ft greene r reallly dirty even by project standards but the surrounding neighborhood is nice. Everywhere else in bk is pretty cool.
i often heard that Tilden houses, and basically every project around rockaway ave/mother gaston, all suck big time, the crime rate is known to be sky high around this part of the ville, and its been like that since jimmy conway was there...
Pomonok is like a scale of 5-6 on the projects scale, its horrible at night(as most PJ's are), but Latimer is safe and is VERY quiet and Bland has some crime here and there, but is safe
Quick question. Bland is across the new Skyview Mall and Pomonok is near Queens College but where in Flushing is Latimer?

Yeah Brownsville is like another planet. If you want some excitement in your life, take a walk over there around 2 AM. One of the few places in the city where I feel uncomfortable walking around - even during daytime. I don't even feel like that walking in some of the rougher parts of the Bronx.
