Hello,

Does anyone know how the neighborhood is? I've been to Park Avenue as far as 96th street but have not had a chance to go further up or further east.

Thanks!

Sadly it not the best place at the moment. What are you looking for?

Someone I know just bought a unit in building 1919 Madison Avenue for a reasonable price. I have been looking at some of the units up for sale online. They look really nice but I'm not familiar with the area all that much.

I was playing around on Craigslist and saw ads for quite a few units in that complex. How does your friend like it?

They love their apt. Their unit is big by NYC standards, lots of closet space, lots of windows overlooking the park, good layout, bldg is well maintained and they love the super. But I'm not sure about the area in terms of places to go, shop, eat, hang out. The few places they've been to, they said looks sketchy but admitted that with just moving in & busy renovating their place they really didn't have the chance to explore their neighborhood all that much. They mostly hang out downtown & just go their apt. to sleep.

How do they enjoy the nightly sounds of gunshots?

I don't like that specific area either mainly because it's too busy. But there is plenty to do in Harlem these days...
