Why do you assume they are ghetto dwellers?

Or maybe due to the racism they endure all the time.

Maybe you just don't like seeing brothers buying things.

Are you kidding me??? If they can get their lazy rumps out of bed that early in the morning to run to Modells or wherever to buy $150-$200 sneakers, they can get a JOB. I'd love to know where the money comes from for the sneakers while they're living in a crappy apartment in a crappy neighborhood.

I wonder what Michael Jordon thinks of all this?? Oh, wait. He doesn't. He's too busy spending the MILLIONS he makes off the backs of the "people of struggle" to live a lavish lifestyle. I bet he doesn't even wear Jordons because they're so freaking TACKY.

I don't want people to think I'm beating up on people who do this. It's their life and their choices. They are breaking no laws doing this. I just found it interesting after seeing the pattern...
No, they cannot "clearly afford it". They are, more than likely, dipping into their rent money, food money, or money for some other neccessity to purchase some sneakers promoted by a multi-millionaire/billionaire sports personality who couldn't give less than a fart about them.

They are waiting for the release of probably Jordans or Foamposites (hottest sneakers out now) that have a limited release meaning every store has a few.

They usually dont buy them to wear them, but to re-sell them

This is actually smart because some of these sneakers cost 120$ and the re sell value can be upwards of 250$+

It's really sad to see a mother with triplets dressed in baby Jordans and gold chains.

But,

Poor financial decisions vs being able to afford it. Two different things. Growing up and I still see it to this day, people struggling to get by but would rather spend money on things like cars, and clothes. Unfortunately many times the parents pass on their poor financial acumen to their children.

Also there is a subset of people who have disposable money because they work somewhere off books and claim no income, get section 8 and everything else.
