Unfortunately, Dennis Brown I cannot think of one black area in the city where crime isnt prevalent. I will list NYPD Pct's where most of the residents are black. In the Bronx 47 which covers Wakefield. The 28 and 32 which cover central Harlem. The 73 and 75 in Brooklyn which cover East NY and Brownsville. THe 113 and 103 which cover Jamaica, Cambria Heights and Springfield Gardens and Laurelton. The 120 which covers Stapleton in SI. I'm everyone can come up with reasons why crime happens in these areas but there is no denying that those are very busy pcts. I also forgot the 67 which covers East Flatbush.
There is no such thing as crime free precincts. NYPD has historically done a lot of drug busts in wealthy parts of Manhattan, and last I checked, drug transactions are crimes. Not to mention white areas of the city have had mafia and money laundering issues.
You want to be free of crime? Move to Mars!
Oh, were you talking about dangerous crime? Haven't we recently had white guys in CT and CO massacre groups of people, one in an elementary school, and one in a movie theatre? Haven't we have crazies push people on subway tracks in well to do parts of Manhattan? Crime does not equal Black or Black neighborhood, and you're deluding yourself if you're trying to say that.

The overwhelming majority of violent crime in this country is committed by 14-21 y/o black males against other black males in inner-city settings. Facts are facts.
Whatever. I don't see any of the people you spend so much energy on posting anything on CD about where you're from. The area you grew up in, which is also the area I grew up in, is not a wasteland. It's just that people who you are not comfortable with now live there. The few houses that go on the market in the norwood area sell for more than many of the homes in Putman county. So there are people who like the area just fine. I just saw a beautiful victorian on 201st go on the market for $359k.

Tell that to white women feminists who claim that 25% of all women are raped, often by guys they know. Or is rape not a violent crime?
Spousal abuse in common among all races as well, and last I checked, that was pretty criminal too.
This article on the BBC claims its 20% of women in the US that are raped, and notice they don't mention anything about Blacks or inner city people. I went to an Ivy League University, and we had rapes on CAMPUS. And of course where alcohol and drugs are concerned (yes, men rape drunk women in rich areas, like the two NYPD cops who raped that woman in the East Village. Neither of whom were Black, I might add). But I guess its okay in the minds of NorwoodBoy and Psych for men to rape women, and I guess they don't consider it a violent crime. But it is a violent crime and a big problem everywhere
A lot of it is sour grapes. Plenty of people ran to the hinterlands and now they are tired of $4 gas, very long commutes, and car dependent neighborhoods. They want to come back but not to live with the people who are already there.
