Be truthful do you support this act?
No. I do not support the stop and frisk law. It is a violation of one's 4th amendment rights. And considering the tape released by a police officer saying "to target Black males ages 14-21", that is a violation of the 4th amendment. The 4th amendment is suppose to protect you from unreasonable search and seizure. If you haven't broken any laws, and shown any kind of suspicious behavior, you shouldn't be stopped.

First of all, a "stop and frisk" isn't an arrest; they're using the fig leaf of Terry v. Ohio as the justification for stop and frisk, and that case makes it quite clear that a "Terry stop" is not an arrest. Second, most job applications ask about convictions, not arrests. A person who has been stopped and frisked does not have a criminal record or even an arrest record. A person who has been arrested and charged with a crime, but not convicted, does not have a criminal record.

It is a violation of the Bill of Rights. And a blatant example of the growing police state where everyone is a criminal in the eyes of the government. The people that support it are fools and traitors.

I've been saying that in many threads, and for some reason, few people ever listen. Think about what Benjamin Franklin said: "Those who would forfeit essential liberties to obtain temporary security deserve neither".

Caveat: Benjamin Franklin died in 1790. That's the 18th century.

The world has changed vastly, and so have our definitions of "liberties" and "security" and how we deal with them.

Even so, stop and frisk is still not the Constitutional thing to do. It violates 4th amendment rights.

Stop-and-frisk is something old Ben would have no problem recognizing, however, as the British going around searching people and houses for no good reason is why we have a Fourth Amendment in the first place.

I do not support stop and frisk. It's unconstitutional, it's racist, and with the history of cops shooting unarmed black and latino men in this city, there's no way I can trust the police.

Why are you surprised?

This is the same city whose Fire Department is 93% ethnic white in 2013 with a mayor that supports it and hates poor people.

In answer to your question, no, I don't support it.
