I've notice that all of the NYC's boroughs have at least one major league sports franchise except for Staten Island. Manhattan- Knicks, Rangers; Bronx- Yankees; Brooklyn- Nets; Queens- Mets; Staten Island- None.

Do any of you think it's time for Staten Island to have a major league team once again like it did from 1915-1935 with an NFL franchise called the "Staten Island Stapletons"? Keep in mine that Staten Island's population has grown a lot since that time period.

The lack of a mass transit connection out of Staten Island probably won't make it attractive for franchises to move there.

I'd rather not. The Staten Island Yankees are enough. They draw nice crowds at each of their games and everyone has a good time because of the more relaxed atmosphere and lower costs.

I was a big proponent of relocating the Islanders to Staten Island.

We could have had Nascar. I was against Nascar at the time because I felt the land could have been better used if it was made in to an industrial & corperate park. However with tolls the way they are & no end in sight that will never happen.

only if the staten islanders agree to an equal-priced toll in each direction on the verrazano bridge to help ease the traffic problems in lower manhattan.

We had that once, with EZ pass I wouldn't be oppossed to it again. It would keep the NJ people off the Island as well during the AM rush hour trying to get in to Manhattan.

Not lately. I haven't been to Staten Island in a while. I thought the ferry system was pretty good and I'm also used to doing transfers but I could see how some people might be little more hesitant to do that. When I visit NYC I'm usually in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
