Can't disagree with this one, hell I even repped it! It will likely be the last time I rep one of your posts, but I'm not one to be above admitting when right is right.

no one has to agree with me, but attacking me for pointing out how
things are in this world is ridiculous.

Well you know the rhetoric is that Obama is a socialist. LMAO. Repubs and Dems are not that different these days, they both pay service to the same masters ultimately. Only difference is Repubs have some more extremists factions within their party and are therefore more dangerous IMHO. Obama's first term was heavily financed by wall street, socialist? What a joke!!

Our system is broken folks! Wake up and stop being a zombie slave to the same tired political rhetoric.

I wanted to rep you bro, but I have to spread it around. I wanted to add that even though I agree, but because of competition we have in this society, not everyone will become successful, hell not everyone has access to a good school, however going to class regardless will still help to some extent.

Yup--I turned my last house into a quarter million in CASH when I sold high after buying low. I had already purchased my current house before the market went nuts, so that quarter mill was mine, didn't need it for the new house.

Similarly, if you wished to 'cash out' your retirement account, in order to maximize your return, you'd have to sell the assests over a short or long period, in addition to the fact you w/b charged siginificant fees reducing the take.
That depends. Some of my retirement money is in CD based IRA's. When they mature I can cash out in full (provided I'm 59 1/2 at the time) without penalty or fees.

Think, a million in cash, can be leveraged into multiple millions of real estate and hard assets, and income. Being "liquid" is a whole nother state of financial being.
Yup, not disagreeing, although too much leveraging seldom ends well.

After when Bloomberg is gone, NYC is going to be a mess, he is going to leave the city in an on easy position thanks to his carelessness of the poor and destitute residents, as well as the ever declining middle class families which has been the backbone of NYC for generations regardless of race. Its ok that out of town young white kids from the Cul de Sacs of America migrate to NYC but when a family who is working class and middle class move his or her entire family out of NYC for greener pastures of the sunbelt, Houston we have a problem. If NYC wants to keep families in the city, they need to find an innovative way to do so, Im not sure tax credits might not help which is being pushed by Mayoral hopeful Quinn.

Homelellness increased in NYC, homeless everywhere and Bloomberg has the gets to say their are no homeless, wtf. Then you have in an increase of children sleeping on the streets, Stadiums such As Baclays in Brooklyn and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx can house and shelter every single kid who sleeps on the streets.

Then you have Bloomberg worrying about Teen Pregnancy which is not much of a big problem here in this city as of lately, but the biggest problem is 20 something women have constantly pumping out babies with men who they don't see a future with.

Finally, city Human Resources commissioner to confront the single-mother epidemic head on - NYPOST.com

Bloomberg created a huge mess for this city, and with the federal tax cuts from DC, its only going to get worse.

Notice the Post doesn't cite their source for their claims that 70% of babies in the Bronx or 73% of Blacks are born to single mothers.

The NY Post is hardly a credible source for anything.

With that said, Bloomberg's campaign was aimed at unplanned pregnancies in general, not just of teenage mothers. I think its good he brought this up.

Homelessness is up in the city because Washington, City Hall, and Albany slaughtered housing programs and other welfare subsidies. I agree with you, BronxGuyanese, its going to get worse as the House Republicans force through additional cuts to the budget.

Its really why the city pushed gentrification to begin with, since Giuliani. With federal money for Section 8 and other welfare programs drying up, having lots of poor people became a liability that the city government simply could not afford. So they wanted wealthier people who were taxpayers to replace them. Did innocent working class people get harmed?

No doubt, they did get hurt. Unfortunately working class people have been casualties since Moses and Lindsay flooded the city with easy welfare and housing projects (working class people in those days at times had to live in very bad neighborhoods full of crime or leave the city).

Your right. Not every person is going to Regis or Bronx Science or Horace Mann. Sorry, That's America. But what one person can do is attend class and get legal employment. Let's say your not a great student, with a hs diploma that should be able to open the door to civil service. Become a Fireman, Cop, Corrections, or a sanitation worker. These jobs I listed after 5 years of employment make over 100k annually. Now is this person moving into UES or a brownstone in Brooklyn heights? NO. But it's a pathway into middle class and maybe your kids will make the next leap. I was watching Anthony Bourdain the other night on my return flight from PR. he was Seattle. Anyhow he was driving a 100k car that was powered by electricity. Anyhow some hipster pulls up to him and says nice F' en car for family of 1%ers. WTF it's like people who actually become successful have to be ashamed because they make money???
