I spent three months living in Manhattan and really enjoyed the energy and creativity of the city.

My favorite parts were:

United Nations Plaza (Mainly were I worked but very international and powerful looking)
West Village (Absolutely beautiful with many fun small bars and restaurants)
Greenwich Village (Very lively and pretty)
Central Park (Cliche, but I found myself taking walks there often and it was fun to discover new parts)

What is everyone's favorite parts of Manhattan?

My votes go for West Village and the Financial District. I like how West Village feels, very nice and lively. I like the Financial District for its conveniences. Living in SoHo, I regret not moving close to a Key Foods and boy does Fulton Market deliver.

1. Central Park hands down.
2. Westside Bikeway
3. Fifth Avenue pretty much all the way to 96th.

West Village, Union square, Battery park walkway in Spring/Summer, Some very cozy areas to relax. Also Riverside park all the way up to the GWB and Lighthouse is great.

Oh, I used to like the South Street Seaport Area in the Summer. Didn't smell great all the time, (fish) but I liked hanging out there.

I also like the area where the central park zoo is.

I also like the gardens off of Fifth Avenue and 106 Street.

Up near Strivers Row and City College in Manhattan

West Village

Fifth Avenue around Christmas time and Cartier's flagship store's big bow. Rockefeller Center.
