True, Le Freak hit #1 in 1978 and Good Times also #1, but the success started with Dance, Dance, Dance a #6 hit in 1977.

definitely. Chic's 80's stuff was as good even better than their 70's stuff but by 1980 people started to lose interest. their 80's stuff fused disco with rock

I'm not a disco fan, but I'm familiar with all major music acts.

there is a French disco act from the 70's called Voyage. sounds a little like Abba. the stuff is so catchy its a crime. their big hit was "Souvenirs" from 1979.
