I heard so much about these apartments last year, you know these tiny apartments the size of say a college dorm room. I am kind of in a bad situation and I am considering one of these. But I am just wondering....Does anyone know where they are located? I have looked at the typical sources (Craig's List and other apartment hunting websites) but I can't find them anywhere. I'm a young guy in my mid 20s so I don't need much space. If anyone can direct me to where I can find some info on these it would be greatly appreciated.

These are not going to be ultra cheap, they will be priced according to demand for low sq footage new construction with comparable amenities. There will be percent of units designated "affordable", but that depends on your income and there will be a lottery.

I'll tell you this type of housing is in high demand and comes with a lot of perks like:

•Roof deck/garden
•Social spaces
•Basement storage
•Energy efficient
•Innovative space saving areas
•Ground floor retail
•Prime locations
•Near subway
•New construction

The first one is set to open in Kips Bay with more to follow. They will be prefabricated to accelerate construction and reduce cost.

Good luck though, I hope it works out. I'm interested myself.
