There were some Hasidics in that area for years too. That's a separate thing from Hipsters moving in and filling areas around Bedford and Nostrand Avenues, near Greene, Clifton, and other avenues in that area along the G train. Not to mention the same thing with hipsters happening along the A train at Franklin, Nostrand, Troop, and that whole general area.
I LIVED in the area, and I know it well.
No one denied that white Americans are moving around that area. The problem is when you say Northwestern Bed Stuy, the Hasidic Jewish section IS the Northwestern Bed Stuy. Once you get down to Lafayette, you're not in the North section of Bed Stuy anymore.

I always called that Williamsburg, the Hasidic Jewish section. When I lived in Bedstuy no one referred thoe Hasidic areas you mention as Bedstuy.
Anyway, the article posted in the Daily News is about the large number of non Hasidic whites moving into Bedstuy, not the Hasidic sections, whatever they are called. Its a different issue.

Son, WTF?! Did you actually read the article you posted?! Or you just looked at the topic and decided to further some agenda?

Yes, I saw the high Hasidic birthdate, but again, that was in Williamsburg. When they mentioned the white population growing in Bedstuy by 6 fold, they were speaking of young people in their 20s and 30s from out of town moving in.
It really wouldn't matter where the whites in Bedstuy are from though, the bottom line is they are moving in and the lot of the welfare scum is moving out. Thank the lord and praise Jesus. That's the bottom line.

Yes because those are the only people existed in Bed Stuy. It's nice that you expose why you are so into gentrification though.
Um I'm not sure of the percentages but western Bed Stuy is pretty melanin deficient these days. I'm sure a lot of the white population increase has to do with Orthodox Jews especially since they have lots of kids, but I can assure you it's still mighty white south of where the Hasidics dwell (I'd say Dekalb is the cut off for them). There is a pretty thick concentration of white hipsterish folks around the Bedford Nostrand G and the surrounding blocks. Franklin ave and arguably most of Bedford ave is pretty much indistinguishable from Clinton Hill now. The business that are opening up on Bedford and Franklin tend to be "hipster friendly". Hell even the bodegas now carry organic food and craft beer (and proudly advertise this on their awnings & windows).
