Send in a copy of registration showing a different color. Ask for dismissal.

I got ticketed for blocking a driveway, its a hand written ticket for 95 dollars. I went online and it shows the ticket to be for a fire hid-rent 115 doll. There are no FH in front of that address not even close.

What should i do? Thanks

Throughout the years, I have received several handwritten tickets by regular cops with wrong info that gets dismissed pretty easily online.

I'm beginning to think the cops purposely make errors just to write a ticket to fill their quota, yet at the same time make it easy to dismiss.

It could be a quota, or it could be a legit attempt to cite you. Only the traffic cops have the hand held machines with the registration scanners and automated printouts. The hand written tickets are from actual full NYPD police officers who see an infraction and decide to pull over and have to break out their old school ticket book. Since it's not their primary function, they are rusty and tend to make mistakes
