Hi,

I'm curious if the Throggs Neck Bridge has any cash lanes open in the very early morning hours, 4am, 5am, 6am on Saturdays and Sundays outbound to GWB?

Thanks!

I think there is always at least one cash lane open.

I can never understand why there are so many without an ez-pass today.

not only do you pay more for not having one but the lines are crazy. I think it is 5.33 with one vs 7.50 without one.

I believe the discount applies to commuter plans. But either way, I don't know why so many drivers are still using cash. The lines are so long at the toll plazas because they sometimes open only 1 or 2 cash lanes.

The most basic plan which means just have an ez-pass gives you the discounts as far as i see.

Hmm, we've never paid that low amount. Thanks for this other link. I'll have to check the next statement we get.

For those of us that do not go off the island much, if you don't use the ezpass in a specified period of time, they deduct money from the account. So why should I let them do that?

HAHA! I was thinking of something far more sinister, but paying with pennies would certainly be torture.
