Hey guys, looking to break our trip home up for a few hours. Been to the city quite a few times in the past but not for a while. Looking to take the Staten Island Ferry into Manhattan and take the subway into Times Square. I will have my two adventuresome 4 1/2 year old twins (who love to walk). It looks like I can just take the 1 train to 42 street. Thanks ahead of time.

Take the 1 and transfer ro the 2 or 3 at Chambers. The 2/3 are express....the 1 will make a lot of local stops.

Either that or get in the first car on the 1, take the longer trip, and let your kids look out the front...that will be a thrill for them

At Times Square take your children to the large Toys R Us store which is fun to walk through.

I really appreciate the input.........the girls had a blast yesterday.....from the fish tanks at the ferry terminal, ferry ride, subway with the men singing for donations to Times Square. This was a spur of the moment thing to do something a little different on the way home and check out their stamina......which appears to be better than mine with all the walking we did.

Thanks again for those that provided input!

Wasn't to bad.....I guess it is getting hotter in NY this week though. We had a gentlemen carrying a window unit brand new in the box, got on the subway with us and was along side of us all the way to Staten Island

I would rather die than carry that but he was cool last night

Hit the waterfront in Baltimore this afternoon to vist the Aquarium......great waterfront with lots to do

The subway station is directly in front of the ferry terminal. At the street level, you'll see a big sign indicating the entrance. (There's also a smaller entrance off to the side that leads directly to the platform).

Yes it is very close to ferry building and you shouldn't have problem finding it.
