there's a good mexican restaurant on greenwich ave and jane street in the village i forgot the name tho. the food is great and the frozen drinks are good and cheap.
Chevy's used to be good, but they seem to have gotten away from having freshly made food. The last few times I went, it was crap. You can get a better "Mexican" meal at Chipotle.
Chevy's isn't bad. I've had good meals there. I'd say it's a cut above most of the franchise casual dining places. It's not really mexican food though. Tex-mex would be a more accurate way of describing it.
ROSA MEXICANO- MEXICAN YES, TRY MAMA MEXICO; AUTHENTIC, GOOD FOOD, LIVE MUSIC (MARIACHIS) 102ND AND BROADWAY AND ONE IN MIDTOWN ON THE EAST SIDE , CAN'T REMEMBER THE STREET, ALSO ONE IN NEW JERSEY (ENGLEWOOD).
It's on 49th between 2nd and 3rd. I don't know if it's authentic, but it's very good.
