Just show up for jury duty. They do a fairly good job (in my experience) of screening people and once they hear you speak, I doubt they will pick you for jury duty. Don't worry about it.

I had jury duty twice 20+ years ago. I wont do it again. Easiest way to get out of jury duty is not to make up some lame story, just tell the truth. Say you can spot a guilty person a mile away. You wont get called.

This was what I was going to suggest.

Either this or his command of the English language should get him excused.


OP just say you can tell by the way a person looks that they're guilty.

If you were outside the USA during those times in 2002 and 2005 you can bring your passport and old airline boarding passes to proof that you were out of the country then.
