I'm thinking mid 2015 it begins. Soon the 61st street 7 train stop will look like the Bedford Ave L station in Williamsburg. Young scenesters will be driven by low rents, manhattan proximity, and an array of ethnic cuisine

Definitely not. Sunnyside much more likely. Woodside is immigrant central and that's not going to change anytime soon.

Sunnyside already has a number of "hip" restaurants. Salt & Fat for example.

Sunnyside and Woodside already aren't cheap enough for this to happen, IMO.

It looks like Woodside is seeing a growing number of white collar residents. Not surprising given the good commute options via the #7 express and local and the LIRR.

That does not mean that it will become a "hip" neighborhood with all the trendy restaurants, cafes etc.
