Can anyone help me? I'm a teen from Bronx, N.Y.C. Me and my mom live with my grandmother in a pretty busted up place, It's pretty depressing here we and are planning to move since I can't get a job yet. I was wondering if anyone knew any good areas in Yonkers or other SAFE areas close to the city in the range of $500-$1,000 2br.

You might want to try this forum: //www.city-data.com/forum/westchester-county/

But 2br for $1,000? You are missing some numbers there.

Cause I'm not old enough to get a job, I'm just a teen trying to help my mom find an apartment so we can move out of this place, It's practically falling apart and I'm scared to walk down the hallway.

If you are a working class family, you may want to try looking into mixed income lottery apartments: HPD - Apartment Seekers - Current Housing Lotteries

I wish you and your family the best, I've been there and I know how frustrating it is to want something better for your family but unable to do much to help at a young age. Study hard, choose a career that will allow you to live comfortably and help your mom and grandmother! You can do it :-)

You'd probably like Wyandanch but even there I doubt you could get a 2br for $1000.
