A small kitchen, I've dealt with (though sometimes a bit difficult if you aren't good about being organized). A crap kitchen is a bit harder.

I am surprised this went 4 pages. If you're trying to be Chef Ramsay (accent and all) then I can see how a small kitchen would irritate you.

Less kitchen, less to clean.

You can make an island out of a high wooden table. Increase storage and counter space.

Well, we don't know what the rest of the apartment looks like!

HA! Let's prey that it's bigger than the kitchen.

That kitchen is too small, especially for a Queens apartment. Thought it was in Manhattan till I read it was in Rego Park.

For me having a kitchen to cook in or having enough space to utilize is important since I like cooking dinner for myself after coming home from work (not typical by New Yorker standards but thankfully I enjoy the process)

Of the two apartments that I had in Queens my first apartment in FH had new granite countertops and full sized stainless steel appliances as well as a large deep sink; wasn't too small or too big. Just the perfect size for one person to cook or bake in. My apartment in Astoria had a huge kitchen, it was the size of most Manhattan studios. It was a bit too big for me but there was more than enough counter space.

I agree with getting a higher resale value in Forest Hills/ Kew Gardens since they're more "desirable" than Rego Park.

Where's the fridge?

Anyways, I could never live with a kitchen like that. By the time you lay down a toaster, microwave, toaster oven, and a blender, it's full...no room to make a sandwich.
Oops, I just took another look: you'd have to THROW OUT the toaster, toaster oven and blender and you'd need to make the sandwich atop the microwave.

Do you need all of those things? I cook a lot and I don't own a microwave, a toaster, or a toaster oven. The blender lives in a cabinet.
