Picky? How am I picky in trying to be SAFE? I don't understand people like you. I'm doing all that I can and I'm working extremely hard in my academics and at work with children with autism. It's alright though.

I didn't claim she did, but a shelter is not a place for an infant. She herself seemed to think it would be a "calm" place for her baby.

As a nurse, there is no excuse to get "accidentally" pregnant. You are well aware how babies are made. That's why I can't feel sorry for anyone who "accidentaly" gets pregnant.

So she now has responses from two women - to the person who commented that.
And we are not at odds with each other here.

You want a free place to live, but want to dictate where it will be. That's not how it works. If you want to dictate where you are going to live, then you have to pay for the apartment yourself.

You don't live in Westchester, yet think you can just pop up there and get a free place to live? SMH, indeed.

Why should you get priority over people who already live there?

Faith, you don't have to explain anything to anyone here, myself included. You aren't the only person who has needed to go to a shelter (many people have) and there's nothing wrong with it. No point in arguing with haters.

It would make it alot easier for me to not deal with my boss, he is ignorant, rude, inconsiderate, and makes my life miserable..so how about someone pay me to stay home, it would make my life easier...I deserve it right? I also don't like taking public transportation..it is dirty, the people are rude, loud, and ghetto..I don't want to be exposed to that so I want private transportation at tax payers expense because it would make my life easier...I deserve it right?

I am all for bettering your self...but not for wanting to exploit very limited resources simply because you want them, not because you are homeless.
You are seriously doing the most. I didn't know I had to go in FULL detail about my home life. If only you knew what it was like living where I lived.

I grew up sleeping on a floor. From Age 14-18, that's where I slept. On a dining room floor.

So I worked full time while I went to college so I'd be able to get myself a nice, safe apartment. I used student loans to pay for housing.

I also made sure I did NOT get pregnant.

You will be able to get into a shelter and a NYCHA apartment. You'll have to take what they will give you, and it won't be safe or nice.
