Typically you don't feel unwelcome in food services. The only time I ever felt uncomfortable was when I went into a middle-Eastern owned deli on Sheepshead Bay Road and then some good ol 300 pound American jacka** walks in and starts to yell how Russians are pieces of sh*t.

In true ironic nyc fashion the Mannas were actually started and are still owned by an Asian woman. I go pretty frequently to the one by 126th and fred Douglas in Harlem and I have seen her there a couple of times.
