when one is coming down I 95 in Connecticut approaching the NY State line, if one looks to the left there are 2 large towers that look like apt houses. When you are driving on the Hutch passing Pelham Bay Park i also notice 2 towers
are these N Shore Towers and if so are they in Queens or Nassau?

The North Shore Towers are in Queens but right on the border. I think part of the complex is actually in Nassau, but it's mostly in Queens. I can't remember ever noticing it from the Hutch, but I can't think of any other towers as big nearby. The Northern State Parkway passes almost next to them.
I notice those two large buildings, they look massive from far away and very noticble from the Bronx around Baychester Bay and New Rochelle. I'm not sure if those buildings are in Queens or Nassau myself.
The North Shore Towers are 3 buildings. It's possible one building is blocked behind from view, but I suspect you are seeing the two tall towers in New Rochelle instead.
not New Rochelle because on the Conn Tpke i am looking across the sound and they are definitely on LI; on the Hutch i am also looking across the sound. they look similar to what i saw from Conn.
Those are the north shore towers in queens. u can see them in new Rochelle from looking on the long island sound. u can also see them on shore rd going west past city island. When I was younger I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what those 2 huge looking bldgs. across the sound were so I know exactly what ur talking about.
I saw the buildings on google earth. Nassau county border is only a half a mile away, its well within Queens.
