Just by de Blasio stopping S&F, gets my vote.
I wouldn't vote for anyone with credits of MTA, they have been ripping us off for decades, and still cant get their finances together.
De Blasio will NOT stop S&F, nor will Thompson. The only one who promised that is Liu, who we have forgotten about.
What the two Bills stated was intelligent/strategic use of S&F. Given that both men have black sons they know full well that dealing with gang bangers is as important as dealing with out of control cop commanders who force cops to meet S&F quotas.
I was talking to some one who does work with the gangs. He said that the guys do not walk around with guns, They stash them close by so when they need them the guns are readily accessable. I can also bet that those guys can spot a plain clothes cop and so disappear when they see them.
Then we wonder why only 1% of the stops result in gun seizures even though there are thousands of illegal guns in the city.
BTW, I think it was Dante that caused DeBlasio to take off on the polls. He stated the case quite well in the adds and put forth a view of his father that many New Yorkers didn't have before.
Now I would think that any father would be proud to have a son as articulate and poised as Dante. But the resident racists only s ee a black boy so ridicule him.
