Is Labor Day about the West Indian parade in Brooklyn, New York. I never understood watching people jump on each other and parade naked in the streets.

It's pretty easy to break down any celebration to sound stupid. Deal with it.

To the OP... Please dont be ignorant and ask such a "white" question. This is the same reason these neighborhoods don't welcome you and go out of there way to make your life difficult and scary.

To understand The West Indian Parade & Juve you must be knowledgable about the Caribbean , their history ,culture and customs. Something you clearly lack.

Most people wear elaborate costumes which have much detail and stories behind them and folklore stories.

This a day that they use sing ,dance , eat and show pride of everyone's Carribean roots.

I will not school you because that's why God gave us Google and Wikipedia.

You honestly dont belong in NYC ( or anywhere really) with those comments and such a 1st grade question like that.

Yes, unfortunately this event is sometimes marred by voilence ..but 95% of the attendees go to enjoy the festivites and its a few bad apples that do something stupid and that takes the 10 o clock headlines.

Honestly , do some reading..its for your own benefit.

As a Barbadian would tell you after reading your question " Yuh a half idiot"
