I live in NJ along NJ Trasit's Gladstone line, and am starting a contract asssignment in Brooklyn next week near the Jay St / Willoughby St station. Going to be 90+ minutes no matter how I do it, but it's only a 6-month contract. I need to choose which NJT monthly pass to invest in:
The Gladstone NJT rail straight to Hoboken,
( and then PATH to WTC
and walk to Chambers St or Park Pl
and take the subway there to Jay St. )
Or the Gladstone NJT rail
with a transfer in Summit or Newark to 34th St Penn,
(and then the subway straight to Jay St. )
It will be almost entirely 9 to 5 work. Anyone have strong opinions on which is the better choice?
Hoboken is a little cheaper, and Penn Station is a little less walking and transferring.
Hoboken might be convenient on the way home if I wanted to spend an evening at places I like up around Christopher St.
