Without table games, it does not feel like a real casino. But they get business. I will not say the place is crowded, but they have a decent crowd at least at night. I have never tried their restaurants except the buffet. I personally did not think the buffet was special. They have computerized version of the table games though.

I am not even sure how they got permission to build it or the Empire City casino. I just dont see the purpose of them without the table games. What politicians got kick backs?

Good Latin Food on Roosevelt Avenue/Jackson Heights
These are great food options but the OP is looking for something upscale.

A place that serves both sushi and steak or either?

Steak definitely Uncle Jack's in Bayside. Sushi, don't know.

Danny Brown's in Forest Hills on Metropolitan is fantastic. I've never been disappointed.

Other nice places I'd recommend are

I never went there but my nephew is a regular at the Borgota in AC and decided to try Resorts.

No old ladies there but its a classless, city 'tude environment. No upscale gamblers, just hood rats.
