Don't the elevators get clogged in buildings like this? These buildings must literally have rush hours. How is it luxury to have to stop more than a dozen times each time you go in or leave?

People who live here do not have a 9-5, will probably not be living there full-time, and there are only 100 apartments.

Yes indeed. I think that is a LOT narrower than 60 feet.

I kinda like the renderings of this building. The tall, super skinny design give it a very futuristic look. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the skyline.

There's an ugly side to this sliver-tower...about an acre of raw concrete on the North side.

Of of my friends resides in a luxury high rise around 42nd and 9th and half the units are owned by non-US citizens as a secondary business or vacation address. His building only has two elevators that reach the top floors and it has never been an issue any time I've been visiting.

Don't most luxury buildings have several elevators? The building my friend lives in has 4 so no one really has to "wait" for an elevator or stop at numerous floors on the way down
