I would imagine you are talking about Manhhatan?

I love the breakfasts at most any diner....and there are a ton of them in NY. If you happen to be in Sunnyside you have to go to a place on Northern Blvd around 48 St next to the Sunoco station. I can't remember the name, we've always called it Gus' but I think it is New York Eggs or something like that. Anyway, a real New York old-style diner with a great breakfast and not too bad on the pocket.

Oohh, found an article here.... well worth it!

For breakfast I've always liked the Waverly Diner on 6 Ave... if you head downtown go to the Gee-Whiz Diner on Greenwich & Chambers, midtown go to the Westway on 9 Ave near 44 St.

If you venture into Brooklyn you MUST MUST MUST go to Tom's on Washinton Ave. It is a true old style original NY restaurant with wonderful breakfasts, toast with honey butter... hhmmm. You will think you are still down the road from Ebbet's Field and the Dodger game will start in a few hours. The owner still wears a bowtie!! I can't believe I forgot to mention this in the earlier post.
