as long as the transaction went through, why does Barney's care so much who is buying or how they are paying for it? it's so foolish from a business stand point, unless this store has been getting many card cancellations that we don't know about
I think in most cases the bank eats a fraudulent purchase but I would imagine too many fraudulent transactions would fray their relationships with the banks or credit providers. The retailer has a certain responsibility to stop or at least deter fraudulent transactions.
I guess you miss the days of Jim Crow when "they kept those folks in their place."
Or he's just getting off trolling people here. Its Grosvenor aka Mr. Riverdale. After he gets banned under this name, he'll come back with another name, spewing more insults.
It sucks that they are using taxpayer based grant money to purchase these items though. I just hope that woman who claimed she was profiled isn't on welfare.
The black teenager is part of a work study program. He was using government money which cones from taxpayer dollars. He should be saving it and using towered school.
Anyway, it's sad that these teens were harassed and questioned.
I notice that the media refers to these two individuals that first came to the public about lawsuits and the issue of shopping while black have been constantly referred to as African Americans. These people are actually West Indian Americans, and at least 1 I believe is Haitian descent etc. That's another pet peeve of the media.

WTF are you talking about??
WHERE in the article did it say that they were using "taxpayer" money?? WHY do you assume the girl's on welfare?? Cause she's black and pregnant??

It's none of your damn business what he uses it for. He saved up months to purchase that ugly belt, so obviously he was paying off other things. Seriously, how dare you??

It reeks of classism and ASSumptions as well!
Da hell?? Your entire post smacked of "classism and assumptions". Hypocrite.

Who cares???
This is America. Whites here don't see a difference. When the Klan catches you for a lynching party, you can scream to high heaven that you're not "black" but "west indian" all you want, but all they'll do is laugh their assets off at you trying to make the "distinction", while throwing the rope over the tree.
What's your point in bringing up the difference? I'm not understanding.
