If it's just a Caribbean black neighborhood you're looking for, there are still many different places to choose. Prospect Heights as mentioned before. CH and Flatbush have the classic gritty hustle-and-bustle feel, but if you're looking for more quiet places, Canarsie, Flatlands, and parts of East Flatbush should suit you well.
its ok if its not quiet id prefer my community to be a little more lively so to speak.
East Flatbush is tricky cause it's a big neighborhood. Therefore, some blocks are quiet (I'd say the closer to Flatlands the better), but other parts are just hood (especially the 90s).

Well then, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, and Flatbush seem to be up your alley. In that order is most expensive to least expensive (which is still expensive).

good idea, i dont feel public housing would be a good option
LOL Definitely not. Besides, depending on your time frame, you might have no luck getting any public housing in a short amount of time. Some people wait for years before they get a place.
