Stories of price gauging run rampant in NYC. I just picked one up for $50. Anyone have success or horror stories when it comes to picking out the annual Christmas tree?

If you're willing to travel a little bit west. They're selling nice tall trees for $25 on northern blvd and 48st.

No way. At least ones that won't dry out in a couple days?

I've been putting up the same 6' artificial tree with lights already on it for the past 4 years. Although live trees really smell good, I don't like watering them, cleaning up the pine needles, or disposing of it. Set it up, hang the star and ornaments, and you're done. I actually put mines up today.

Some trees are a bit more expensive depending on which type you get.

I just pick one I like the best from the parking lot at Lowe's. I wasn't able to get a tree last year but I feel like I've paid $30-$40 in the past.

How much is delivery for a tree bought at a lot usually? My fiance and I plan on going with a real tree next year instead of our fake one we currently have. We don't have a car so it'll have to be delivered.
