The building is the Edward and Teresa O'Toole Medical Services Building at St. Vincent's, a building which St. Vincent's sought permission to demolish and reconstruct a tower to house the hospital and services, with residential development on the rest of the site. It's ironic that it was donated for medical use, since that is the building whose demolition was key to attempting to build a new St. Vincent's. I believe the O'Toole fortune that was behind the bequest came not from the dramatic arts, but religious goods manufacturing.

I think that Lenox Hill opening a fairly comprehensive center is a good one because they run a very large system and if we can't have a full hospital, at least this one sounds a good compromise. Not too concerned.
