Unlike you, I did due diligence and read the other thread that OP posted on C-D about the exact same topic. In that thread OP talks about how he is "good in court" and threatens to put a lien on the landlord's house and all his assets. And never mentions any reason for doing so or making this threat. In fact he never gives a single negative detail about his landlord; it sounds like OP just making idle threats.
So, unlike you, I understand there are two sides to a story. If I'm rude or short with someone, it's for good reason.
Seniors can avoid rent increases by filing for SCRIE and meeting certain income and housing limitations,All senior citizens should do so...nothing to lose.
im in my seventies at what point is a land lord suppose to reduce your rent in a private house
congratulations.
at no point.
the LL is NOT supposed to.
your not entitled to it. what would make you think you are?
and if you want to go there, a person renting an apartment in a private house is for added income, the LL does not give a rats ass that you are in your 70's, he is renting out an apartment, not giving out handouts.
Remember in a private house the LL has a mortgage to pay, you think the bank cares that you are 70.
also if it is a private house there are no RC Rs rules, or very many rules for that matter. thank god
