Why do the rookies constantly complain about what they're doing that day or that they're getting forced on OT.. I've never complained.. I'm talking 4 years on 12-8 baskets Mon thru Fri and sat. 4-12.. I haven't done baskets for a few years now but these dudes are spoiled... This one guy has 3 months on the job and he complains he got forced nights and he's not making truck.. Those are the same bitchs that say "why do I have to do OT" Sorry.. little rant...

I know last year they hired a couple of hundred guys but I also know that that doesn't happen much. I was hoping to get some information on how many they may hire this year. Thanks in advance.

The complainers are usually the kids who never had a real job. I just laugh at them and rub it in as much as possible when they get forced to do stuff that makes them miserable.

I would pretty much guarantee you as spot barring a hire freeze. Especially if you have your CDL. Two classes ago ended at like 3545 then the last class hired up to 4052. That's a 500 list number job which actually gives you a chance for the very next class lol. Granted the next class probably won't jump as much....first class of a new session will typically have guys who missed due to CDL, pending traffic violations, arrests, medical appeals, just plain didn't want it last year, etc getting on. But if not then by second class. I highly doubt a new liberal mayor who wants a second term and wants us to take a fair to him contract will deny us hiring at least 400 new hires. So that's a potential to move the list into the 5000s by year's end.
Unfortunately for DSNY, this is snow time so not much will be looked at until end of March

Can I complain about the fact that we still haven't gotten paid for December 14th onward snow?
My # is 4525 but they denied me training cdl cuz medical failure but I got doctor letter saying I'm good, so should I try n get cdl on my own
How does this work, they didn't hire past ur list # yet, so do they call u again when they start hiring again to take another medical and the first medical don't count, or do you have wait until they pass u and appeal
Yes, Having it early may help you get into an earlier class
If he's medically disqualified he'll have to win an appeal before FBF will touch him (or his old test has to expire and be redone). At this point if he wants the job this year, he pretty much has to get it on his own.
