These jackets are exorbitantly priced, ranging from $1,000-$2,000. However, when looking at the jackets up-close you would think they only cost $300 at max.

New Yorkers please educate me, was there some kind of fire sale I dont know about?
You can afford stuff like this when you still live at home with your parent(s). I bought a $200 shirt when I was in college. It was actually my first big purchase with a credit card.

Same like North Face. Which I am brand loyal to. My oldest North Face is a black McMurdo snorkel that I've had for about 10 years and that thing is warm as hell. I don't wear it to work but I wear it everywhere else; I have 4 North Faces at my house now and maybe 2 more at my father's house that I forgot about.

True.

I wanted to get a Moncler coat, however, I thought it was too expensive even though I could afford it. So seeing a lot of young college students wearing it baffled me. *shrugs*

Like I said, you're right though.

People like me who live at home with no bills and a decent job. Most of my friends still live at home and make between 35-75k a year with no real bills. I can buy whatever I please without someone assuming I stole it because I am young or black.

Don't people live on their own anymore and experience independence ?

They have an outlet store in Woodbury, NY. Maybe these kids got them there.

I bought plenty of stuff for cheap this past weekend. The original price of my Tumi briefcase was $875 retail, I got mine there for $288 tax included + lifetime warranty.

I would live alone but not in nyc. I rather live at home than with a roommate. I did the whole dorm thing already when I have enough saved to buy a house then I will move out.
