Am not blaming the girl, but this is the second or third time one is hearing about these sort of attacks.
MO is always the same; female out late/early hours near Central Park and Fifth Avenue, meets strange man, they talk and enter the Park to "talk" and then.....
Ladies just because it is the UES and Fifth Avenue is big money the same rules apply! You don't talk to strange men and you certainly do not enter Central Park with them, period!
Central Park is closed after midnight and does not open again until around 6AM for a reason. You do not want to be in such a vast and largely abandoned place alone or with some kind of piece of man you just met on the street during those hours.

Why not ? She voluntarily walked into Central Park at 3:30 AM with a stranger.She should at least be blamed for stupidity.
First of all,complete and total stupidity to be out strolling around that neighborhood at 3:30 am.Second of all,complete and total stupidity to then go into the park with a stranger.
Something very weird about this story. Makes little sense.It's similar in some ways to a story last week that also made no sense, where a young guy voluntarily followed another guy who made sexually explicit gestures at him off of a subway train and then rode on another train to another train station with the perv ,where he was supposedly then forced to have sex with the guy at the end of the platform.Then the victim supposedly followed the perv onto yet another train where the perv immediately fell asleep and the "victim" took a picture of him.Try to figure that one out.

You can't make this stuff up.Maybe in both instances the "victims" were looking to be paid but didn't ?
The victim in the gay male case deliberate went to have sex with the other dude. Its just that the dude he blew turned out to be a ROBBER and stole his bag. So because he was upset his backpack got stolen, he added the additional charge of rape (probably because its embarrassing to go the cops to tell them you blew a stranger and after that you got robbed).
Never mind "racial profiling", but just plain common sense. Females out walking on NYC streets at 3AM should not talk to strange men they don't even know, much less sit on a bench with them nor go into Central Park to "talk" further.
Quite honestly bad as the rape was this girl could have ended up in much worse.
