Meanwhile at the very end of the article:

De Blasio didn’t appear at the event, but he will be brought up to speed by reps from the organization, who partnered with the The Fortune Society, which helps prisoners transition into the real world after release.

Along those lines, I'm sure the Post was not above quoting the craziest and the stupidest people from the meeting in order to slant the story.

When prisoners are released on parole, the parole system does indeed assist with them finding work, going back to school, getting job training, getting psychiatric services in order to give them tools to function in society. This is done in ALL STATES.

Yeah ok. And I suppose you think the Daily News or NY Times are a better, non-bias source for news??? SMH!

No newspaper is completely without bias, some get awfully close but they are foreign papers for the most part reporting U.S. news and hence they don't have as much of a bias. And yeah generally speaking the Daily News and The times are of higher quality than the post.

Why should he cater to criminals though? He's way too liberal.

This is the usual fear mongering and false headlines to sell newspapers...nothing more. Are we to actually believe that DeBlasio is catering his 4 year Mayoral tenure to assisting criminals committ more crimes? This coming from the red state Texan who spends his time spreading purposeful misinformation...this is why people don't like you, your state, or your party. I am sure this goes over well where people can't read or think above a 3rd grade level (Thanks Rick Perry!)..but not here. Please go away so that we can handle our business....you should do the same.

Here is an interesting question: When did the doctrine of fairness and equality, helping the poorest among us, protecting rights, and providing opportunity for everyone become a call to warfare and civil conflict in this country? Answer: When Obama ran AND won on it TWICE...now anyone who dares advance the ideals that this country was founded on is a target by a small, ignorant, but loud-mouthed segment of the population intent on hijacking this country.

Keep that in mind.
